Yi is a mediator, navigating the fluid boundary between the desires of life and the impulse to create. In the torrent of life, she allows care-taking, crafting, and writing to intertwine. Before being submerged, she is in the form of a daughter, a hand, a piece of cloth, a pinch of clay, a trace of fire, or a line of text.

As a writer, Yi has contributed to online and printed art media, including Art Review and ING. She was a finalist for IAAC 2015-2016.
